SEPTEMBER 4, DAY 3

Today's ride was as close to perfect as it gets, sunny and clear and no wind!  No wind was such a welcome! 






We started riding at 7 am. Temperature was a chilly 37 degrees. We had a significant climb  right off the bat at the  5 mile mark with  6 to 10% grades.  A fast downhill reaching speeds of 45 miles an hour was the reward.

We stopped at several places for photo opps !  They dont call Montana " Big sky country" for nothing. Our ride today took us through lush farmlands and gorgeous ranches.

Before lunch we had another long, yet moderate climb. The day wasn't  without some technical issues however:

Lunch was at the historic Town of Virginia City.
  


Easting lunch. Im actually much happier than I appear in this picture  and will be especially Happy tomorrow relishing in the HAWKS WIN!

After lunch we had a significant climb of 6 miles to an elevation of 7, 100 feet our highest point for today. Then a fast decsent  into our destination Ennis,  Montana . 

Had dinner at a sports bar and watched the Seahawks play Green Bay for a win!



LIKE I SAID IT WAS A PERFECT DAY!!

Tomorrow we head to Yellowstone. Tomorrows elevation… better rest up as we've got some climbing ahead!
