SEPTEMBER 6, DAY 5

YELLOWSTONE PARK - A REST DAY

No riding today just hiking in glorious Yellowstone National Park with some of the crew.

The pictures say it all.  It's the oldest and most famous National Park in the United States and few places on earth offer as much scenic and scientific interest in one area.
The pictures say it all… It's a land of soaring mountains and broad, grassy valleys, laced with lakes and streams of exquisite beauty. Two times larger then Rhode Island it's absoutely huge.  The weather was sunny and warm. I witnessed  " 'Ol faithful" blow. Soemthing I've  always wanted to see.

One thing about PAC TOURS is its not just about riding but making new friendships and re-newing others. Several of the guys on this trip were a part of my Ride Across America in 2010 where we rode from Everett, WA to Williamsburg , VA in 28 days. We're having tons of fun!

Tomorrow we're back in the saddle for a long  134 miles,  and 5,900 feet climbing  a portion of it with grades of 8-10%. Feeling refreshed from the day off!

SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO SLOW DOWN AND ENJOY THE SCENERY!!
